I have been "in the business of antiques" for nearly all of my working life. I started collecting antiques when I was 17 just after graduating from high school out of necessity. I found that my meager salary would support buying my furniture and accessories at antique shops and flea markets and I loved them more than new items. I can't understand why anyone would buy anything new! (Well except for maybe clothing or a sofa!) I have sold antiques for over 33 years and now I have a shop in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, yes, Mount Pilot on the Andy Griffith show! We aren't as famous as Mount Airy or Mayberry but we are a much cuter old town and the people are fabulous! Our prices are so great, you won't believe them! I do hunt for things that ladies like to decorate with and make sure they are affordable! Check us out!
